The Skye Hotel With ‘stunning Views’ Available to Book for Less Than £100 This Winter

For many Scots, December is one of the best times of the year thanks to the festive buzz,

However, the new year can be a very dour time, with the winter weather in full force. That is why January and February are perfect times to book a little holiday to cheer yourself up.

There is no shortage of charming and cosy inns and hotels nestled in the scenic Scottish countryside, and many of them can be booked for a bargain price if you know where to look. One of these is the “beautiful” Sligachan Hotel on the Isle of Skye, where an overnight stay for two is currently available on voucher website Wowcher for £99 — 65 per cent off the standard price of £279.

Nestled in the gorgeous Skye scenery, the hotel is ideal for those looking to get away from the world for a little while. Overlooking the sparkling waters of Loch Sligachan, and with access to plenty of breathtaking walking and hiking trails, it is the perfect place to clear your head after the Christmas rush.

All of the rooms at the Sligachan Hotel are equipped with an en-suite bathroom, a flat screen TV, Wi-Fi, and more. Also included in the Wowcher deal is a “scrumptious” full Scottish breakfast and a late checkout.

Looking at travel website Tripadvisor, the hotel is popular among guests, with an average rating of four out of five based on 812 reviews.

One recent visitor wrote: “My husband and I stayed at this hotel for one night and we both thought it was a very beautiful and cosy hotel. We were greeted with professionalism, had a lovely room with a stunning view.

“We also had a delicious dinner. We were very impressed overall!”

Meanwhile, a second shared: “There is no place on Earth that is like it. The Sligachan is at the foot of the hills and stands white against the glory of nature.

“Our room was spacious, warm and comfortable and we ate very well. The kitchen made a fuss of our son and plied him with extra onion rings. Seumas’ Bar is incredible.

“If you’re on Skye, at least get a drink here. And if you’re not on Skye, you’ve got an excuse to visit.”

More information about the deal and booking details can be found on the Wowcher website. Meanwhile, the top hotels across Scotland have recently been named by a luxury travel magazine.
