The Met Office has issued the alert which will come into force at 6pm on Saturday until 11.59pm on Sunday evening.
The warning covers a large part of Skye as well as Ullapool and Fort William.
The forecaster said that a “prolonged period of heavy rain this weekend is expected to lead to some flooding and travel disruption”.
In terms of what to expect the Met Office said:
- There is a chance of power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses
- Spray and flooding is likely to lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures
- Flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely
- A small chance some communities will become cut off by flooded roads
- Where flooding occurs, there is a chance of delays or cancellations to train and bus services
