Police Seize ’42 Kilograms of Cocaine’ From Cars on Scottish Street

Officers estimated that the drugs haul had a street value of around £1.8 million.

The cars were stopped in Dunragit Street, Glasgow on Thursday by officers in the organised crime unit.

Police said that two men, aged 34 and 56, had been arrested and charged in connection with the seizure.

The pair are due to appear in Glasgow Sheriff Court on Friday, October 13.

Detective superintendent David Ferry said: “This operation underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.

“People’s lives are ruined by drugs and we are determined to disrupt criminal activity which has such a negative impact on the lives of our communities.

“We will continue to work with our partners to ensure Scotland is a hostile environment for those who seek to bring misery to our communities through their involvement in drugs.”
